Wireless PPG helmet with communication and active noise reduction, carbon edition

The NGC-2500W-C set is based on a certified (EN 966:2000) NG series air sports helmet, the conformity of which was assessed by a Polish notified body (ITS Warsaw). The helmet is made of carbon fiber and available in six sizes. A clear or tinted visor is optionally included.

The helmet is rigidly mounted with fully carbon fiber earcups, equipped with a dynamic microphone mounted on a gooseneck and a built-in active noise reduction (ANR) system. The active electronics are powered by a 2200mAh Li-Polymer battery, providing several dozen hours of uninterrupted operation. The ANR module is charged with 5V via a USB-C port located outside the earcups and the included USB-A > USB-C cable. The system is controlled by a single push button located on the right earcup, while battery status is monitored by a strip of four LED indicators embedded in the side of the earcup. The right earcup features a built-in 4-pole 3.5mm jack socket for connecting the COM4 communication module.

The COM4 communication module is attached to a metal clip on the rear of the helmet. The clip's design allows the module to be detached from the headset, for example, to charge it or secure it for transport. The COM4 module is responsible for wireless pilot-passenger and/or pilot-radio communication, as well as for pairing the headset with mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, or GPS devices. The COM4 design is based on a Qualcomm DSP processor, whose specifications provide, among other things, Bluetooth 5.1 communication, voice assistant, active noise cancellation (CVC - Clear Voice Capture), FM radio, and simultaneous intercom voice communication with up to 3 other crew members at a distance of up to 1500m. Additionally, the COM4 module has a built-in 850mAh lithium battery guaranteeing a minimum of 15 hours of talk time and 300 hours of standby time, a USB-C charging port, a 4-pole 3.5mm jack for headphones and a microphone, and a waterproof IP65 housing.

The RAD10 module provides wireless connectivity between the NGC-2500W-C set and the FM radio. This module is available in two connector standards – K (Kenwood, NAVCOMM) and M (Motorola). The set includes a wireless PTT (Push-To-Talk) button with Velcro strap for easy installation and a lanyard to prevent loss. The transmitter/receiver is powered by an internal 400mAh battery, while the PTT button, which controls the transmission, is powered by a 300mAh battery. Both devices guarantee several hours of operation. A special cable with a USB-A connector, included in the set, allows for simultaneous charging of both devices.
